Candidate Gary Vanderham

I’ve proudly called Holmdel home for the past 16 years, where my wife, Gloria, and I have raised our three children—James, Anderson, and Julia. Like so many families here, we chose Holmdel for its strong sense of community, outstanding schools, and the opportunity to build a great life for our kids.

Professionally, I bring more than 20 years of experience as a finance executive, with a deep understanding of budgeting, long-term planning, and responsible fiscal management. That perspective has shaped my commitment to keeping Holmdel financially strong while protecting the quality of life that makes our town so special.

Giving back to the community has always been important to me. I’ve had the privilege of coaching our youth and serving on the executive board of Holmdel’s Football and Cheer organization—experiences that have allowed me to work closely with families and help support the next generation.

My public service includes three years on the Holmdel Environmental Commission, where I worked to help preserve and protect our open spaces, and three years on the Holmdel Finance Committee, focusing on smart, disciplined budgeting. Today, I’m honored to serve on the Holmdel Township Committee and the Planning Board, where I continue to advocate for responsible growth, fiscal stability, and maintaining the character of the town we all value.

Holmdel isn’t just where I live—it’s home. And I’m committed to ensuring it remains a place families are proud to call their own for years to come.
